Privacy Policy
Last Updated: 3 October 2026
This policy explains how Driven Young Pty Ltd (ABN 13 631 021 344) ("Driven Young", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information. It covers our retreats, Founders Pass, events, our website (drivenyoung.com), our member portal (app.drivenyoung.com) and how we communicate with you. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
Questions or requests: byron@drivenyoung.com.
1. What We Collect
When you enquire or apply: your name, email, phone number, location, age, Instagram handle, details about you and your business (such as industry and revenue range), and your answers to our application questions.
On calls: notes and, where you're told, recordings of sales and onboarding calls.
When you book: payment details (processed by our payment providers; we don't store full card numbers), your room package and payment history.
Before a retreat (welcome form): date of birth, home address, emergency contact, a photo of you, your signature, travel and flight details, travel insurance details, and things that help us match you with others (hobbies, interests, stage of life).
Health information: medical conditions, injuries, allergies, dietary needs and medications that you choose to share with us. This is sensitive information (see section 3).
At the retreat: photos, video and audio recordings (see section 6).
Messages: what you send us by email, SMS, WhatsApp, Instagram and other channels.
Website use: pages visited, how you arrived (for example from an ad or a search), device and browser type, and IP address, through cookies and similar technologies (see section 7).
2. How We Use It
- To assess applications and decide whether a retreat is the right fit.
- To run your booking: payments, rooms, buddy matching, airport pickups, catering and the program.
- To keep you safe at the retreat, including in an emergency.
- To communicate with you about your booking, retreats, events and our community.
- For marketing, including emails and texts you've agreed to receive and ads shown to you on social media.
- To improve our website, services and advertising.
- To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We never sell your personal information.
3. Health Information
We only collect health information with your consent, and only use it to keep you safe and to cater for you. It's shared only with the people who need it, such as our team, the venue's chef and staff, and emergency services if needed. We keep it with your other details so we can look after you at future retreats and events, and we'll ask you to update it before each retreat. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
4. Who We Share It With
We share personal information only as needed to run the business, with:
- The venue and local suppliers for your retreat (such as the villa, chef, drivers and activity providers), so they can host you.
- Service providers who help us operate: our CRM, booking and messaging platform; payment processors; website and database hosting; email delivery; accounting and banking; and the AI tools described in section 5.
- Advertising platforms such as Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Google and TikTok, to measure and show our ads.
- Our professional advisers, such as our accountant and bookkeeper.
- Authorities where required by law, or in an emergency to protect someone's health or safety.
5. AI Tools
We use AI tools (including Anthropic's Claude and meeting note-takers) to help run the business, for example to summarise calls, organise messages and emails, and prepare follow-ups. Under these providers' business terms, your information is not used to train their models. A person at Driven Young makes the decisions that affect you.
6. Photos, Video and Public Profiles
Photos and video taken at our retreats may be used in our marketing, as set out in our Retreat Terms and Conditions (section 10). Members may also have a profile on our website (first name, business, photo and story). You can opt out of either at any time by emailing byron@drivenyoung.com.
7. Cookies, Pixels and Analytics
Our website uses cookies, local storage and similar technologies, including the Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, Google tags, our CRM's tracking, Cloudflare analytics and our own analytics (an anonymous random ID stored in your browser). We use them to understand how people use the site, to measure our ads, and to show relevant ads on other platforms. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and adjust ad preferences in your Meta, Google and TikTok account settings. Blocking them won't stop the site working.
8. Information Sent Overseas
Our main database is hosted in Sydney, Australia. Some of our service providers store or process information overseas, mainly in the United States (for example our CRM and messaging platform, payment processors, Meta, Google, Anthropic and our email provider) and elsewhere in their global networks. For retreats, the details our hosts need (such as your name, room, dietary needs and pickup details) are shared with the venue and suppliers in the country of the retreat, such as Indonesia. We take reasonable steps to make sure these providers protect your information.
9. Marketing Messages
We'll only send you marketing emails and texts with your consent. Every message includes a way to unsubscribe (reply STOP to a text, or use the unsubscribe link in an email), or you can email us. You'll still receive messages about a booking you've made.
10. Keeping It Secure
We protect personal information with access controls, two-factor sign-in for our team, encrypted connections and access limited to the people who need it. No system is completely secure; if a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we'll notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) as required.
11. How Long We Keep It
- Health information: kept so we can look after you at future retreats; deleted on request (section 3).
- Financial and payment records: kept for at least 5 years, as tax law requires.
- Your profile and history with us (contact details, applications, bookings and preferences): kept long term, because many people come back for future retreats, events and programs, and it means you don't have to start from scratch. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
12. Your Rights: Access, Correction and Complaints
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing byron@drivenyoung.com. We'll respond within 30 days. If you have a complaint about how we've handled your information, email us and we'll work to resolve it. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
13. Age
Our retreats and services are for people aged 18 and over.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as our business changes. The latest version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated.
